There was a bunch of us nutters from Crook cong. who decided to walk to the end of the earth in very deep snow… Highlights were Chris trying to handstand over a gate and landing on his head (see mid-air pic below), Sarah ending up in the snow about 100 times over! (ditto), me doing a strange wiggle for the video and Debbie’s absurd reckoning of distances (8 miles divide by 2 = 6.5 miles). Tabi twisted the whole way and clearly missed the comfort of heating and TV…poor Harry had to give up about 10 minutes in (we were out about 4 hours!). Sights were awesome…
So on December 18th, my sis Lindsey got married to Philip Wesley Stanley Bradley Montgomery Clyde Ashmore Bernard Squirrel. It was a very classy event at a castle…we filmed and took pictures and I very nervously gave a speech to a table of people I didn’t know. Video to come soon!

First off was Vera’s funeral at Durham hall…Vera was a hoot…how many other 70+ year old sis’ would you hear demanding that we all go to the pub after the min?
Then there was Jemimah’s grandmother the week after. We travelled down with Chewy to Bath. It rained the whole time! John’s family were pretty great with us and were very hospitable. We met up with Timmy…poor lad was missing his missus (Matt)! The family decided to leave us one of mrs. Gardner sr.’s musical instruments…a kick-ass – near 100 year old -banjo!
Next on the list…a happier event – Lindsey’s wedding!
I haven’t bothered to dirty this place with my ramblings since May so I figured I’d better say something….
What’s been going on then? Well, we had an incident that sucked…I’ll leave that as is…I had flu for close to 3 weeks and missed the flippin’ assembly! Erm, My sis is now getting married in December instead of next year and I have to give a speech! EEK! I grew a couple of beards. I finally got my hands on Smackdown 2010 and then my Xbox got the rings of death! What else?…let’s see…caught up with Jonny and Jen in the old student bars in Durham! Cool to see those guys again! I missed Jon’s banter…he’s about as mentally retarded and disturbed as I am.
We went to see Pearl Jam in August at the MEN Arena…rough crowd, good gig. Not as good as the other shows we’ve been to but a great showing and a strong setlist. Saw Gomez too! They really rocked out!
Work is slow at the moment…always is this time of year. Venturing in to full 3D slowly. Our new reel’s below.
We’re opening a merchandise store (Tee’s, mugs, hats etc) to see if we can make a little extra dough. Jemimah is pondering going to prison…I fully support that.
After a full month or so of believing that Jake doesn’t lover her (“he only loves you! He’s not my cat!”)…he finally jumped up on her knee and let her cuddle him…
If I think of anything else…I’ll update. (actually, I probably won’t – too lazy).
Linz and Phil have got their own place in Gateshead and were planning to get married in Vegas…now Italy. They kinda did the same thing me and Jemimah did, agree and assume we were getting married and then get engaged.

Phil’s a really good guy…and seems quite cool too. Weird how it’s just sinking in that she lives with a guy and is getting married.

We had Tim stay with us the Friday before the assembly through to the following Monday. He stayed in my office…which gave me a nice excuse not to work early mornings.

We toddled off to Aberystwyth (Wales) with MJ…we managed to get stuck in snow less than 30 mins out…

Stopped at the services and bumped in to Paul and Pauline! What are the chances? Neil’s getting married…weird.
After a looooooong trip we finally started seeing signs that reeked of dyslexia and noticed the people-sheep ratio drop well out of Human favour.
We stayed with a couple called…I forget (edit: Joyce & Tony!). They were lovely couple of Manchurians! Tony’s a ‘jolly fella’ who loved his Wii fit…His wife (Joyce) pumped on me. She’d just got through telling a story of how Tony pumps in public places and blames her…she then got up and when her backside was directly in line with my head…she let rip!

Tim’s pad is quite nice…he lives with his better-half Matt in some kind of alternate Sit-Com reality. Definitely a guys place…barely any food, second-hand furniture but brand new, expensive techie things…huge speakers, a projector screen, X-Box etc. We believe Matt may be on Acid.

Tim’s cong. was cool, met his friend and sometimes employer ‘Tall Tim’. Aberystwyth has…well nothing going on really other than perhaps the University. A small seaside town with a few odd shops. I bought some anatomy posters… Jem and MJ went in to Gardner/parent mode and reminded Tim that he’s sometimes less than fresh smelling and closer to a perspiring inhabitant of ‘the Shire’. Tim and Matt introduced me to Dr.Horrible! Matt also showed us a certain method of slapping…I really can’t describe it, well, I can but I won’t. It’s for your own good!
What we might have seen if any of us were a tad brighter...
Tried to fit in a trip to Devils Bridge on the way back but the flippin’ thing was all closed off…we found a way around…but…we got all the way to the pay-point before all 3 of us stopped and realized it’s hard to pay with no money…so…off home to Jake!
It was our 5th anniversary this past Saturday!!! 5 years and neither one of us has gone crazy yet! We’re actually celebrating it late on Wednesday (today’s Monday) due to work restrictions and laziness but we still got all our cards and prezzies on Saturday! Actually, my mother did her best Santa impression coming in with a giant gift bag full of everything possible!
One of the funniest things from the day was getting a card from Tab…BEHOLD the awesome!
